Easter for Babies

Messy but very fun basket for a 1- year old. |
Celebrations take on new meaning with little ones around. Holidays and parties become teaching and socializing opportunities. Don’t be surprised if baby becomes more verbal and hits a few social milestones after a big social event!
Easter’s main message is that Jesus loves us. The resurrection may be too complicated for children under 6 or 7 years. However, you can absolutely teach a baby and young toddler all about Jesus and His love for us.
My first baby, before even his first birthday, understood about God. My husband and I would have conversations about spirituality without even uttering the word “God” and baby would put his palms together, bow and say Amen! Now I am delighted when I hear him singing songs about Jesus or praying on his own.
My favorite way to teach my child about God’s love is through songs. I begin teaching baby about holidays about a month in advance. We sing festive songs and read interactive sing along books about each holiday.
