About Me
Hola,
I am Laura, a Catholic revert, wife and mother. This blog is my attempt to catechize to my children about our Good God and keep the traditions of our Catholic faith alive for the next generation. My babies ask deep questions that constantly challenge me to dive deeper into our Catholic faith and synthesize it for their little ears. Keeping our children engaged and focused on Jesus is my daily goal.
Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:19)
My story: I grew up in SanFrancisco, I’m a second generation American. I was of the world: Career focused, and not God centered. Becoming a mother reconnected me to who God intended me to be. I became a woman seeking after God. When I encountered Christ, I got much more than I bargained.
“He must increase; I must decrease.” (John 3:30, NABRE)
In a nutshell, I learned God has called us all to be saints. Sanctification and communion with God is my life’s goal. I strive to choose Jesus’ way every moment of every day over and over again. It’s really hard, so I am grateful for the gifts of my guardian angels, the prayers of the saints; the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Rosary, which can turn any sinner’s heart toward Jesus.
- I strive to know and keep God’s word in my heart.
- I pray for sincere Humility.
- I am thankful for God’s infinite love and Mercy.
Peace,
Laura
