Banana Pancakes for Babies

Hi all! Today’s recipe is a little different, it’s for baby led weaning. Since I now have a 1 year old, breakfast is extra special and I try to go all out to encourage eating.

The realistic expectation at this age is baby probably won’t really eat. My baby is still mostly playing with and getting to know food. Sometimes baby does eat a bite.

I love recipes we can both enjoy and these banana pancakes are a delicious way to use up over-ripe bananas. These pancakes are naturally super sweet and they cook up fast!

For a balanced breakfast, I serve with 1/4 cup of fruit and 1/2 cup of whole milk.

My go to resource for introducing foods to baby is the Solid Starts website. You can look up any food and see whether or not it is a common choking hazard, and more importantly how to cut and prepare foods so baby can safely enjoy them with minimal choking risk!

Buen provecho!

Laura
