Spring Cleaning
Lovingly get your house in order. Tackle one spring cleaning task a week. It’s important to set the mood for a big cleaning. First things first, open a window and allow light and fresh air to enter each room. Raise your vibrations by playing some relaxing music.
Spring Cleaning Strategy
Clean the most used areas first to evoke a big change for everyone in your home. Typically, these are the most used rooms in a home:
- Kitchen
- Family Room
- Bathroom
- Bedrooms
Week 1: Clean Your Kitchen
Start in the Kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the home, therefore deep cleaning it will make the biggest positive impact. Everyone needs to eat and it’s much easier to make good food in a clean kitchen.
- Empty fridge;
- Toss expired produce, condiments, and food;
- Wipe down shelves and bins.
- Wipe down refrigerator doors

Clear Out Kitchen Cabinets
- Toss expired food
- Rearrange to better suit your needs

Week 2: Take Care of Forgotten Areas
Wipe Windows and Mirrors. It is important to see things clearly so it’s important to have clean mirrors and windows.
Other Often Forgotten Chores- Dust ceiling fans;
- Wash pet beds;
- Wipe window sills;
- Wipe baseboards;
- Wipe hardware;
- Vacuum under couch cushions;
- Vacuum under furniture;
- Shampoo or was rugs.
Week 3: Out With The Old, In With The New
- Toss and Replace Old Toiletries, Towels, and Bathmats;
- New Welcome Mat;
- Change batteries;
- Change lightbulbs;
- Toss broken items;
- Replace broken items.

Week 4: Make Space
- Empty and Vacuum Under Each Bed. Under the bed is often cluttered with things we forgot about. If you are not ready to let go of these things, put them in storage.
- Store Out-of-season Items. Storing out of season items in The fastest way to save space. Use clear plastic bins so you can easily see what’s inside when you are looking for your items again next year.
Tip: Put items in storage with a note stating “[Today’s date], I have not used these items since…” The next time you come across these things in storage you will have a clearer picture on whether you should get rid of it or not.
