Favorite Healthy Pie Crust Recipe


Homemade pie crust

This crust can be made in advance and frozen until ready for use. After baking it, fill it with your favorite pie! 

Makes 2 Pie Crusts

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour;
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar;
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt;
  • 1 cup of melted coconut oil.

MAKE IT

  • Preheat oven to 350°F;
  • Mix the flour, salt, and sugar thourougly;
  • Melt coconut oil and mix into flour to form dough; 
  • Work the dough into a log, cut in half;
  • Chill each piece of dough in the fridge for 20 minutes;
  • Roll out chilled dough with a rolling pin over a floured surface;
  • Arrange pie crust over the pie dish;
  • Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly brown;
  • Fill with filling of choice.
