Christmas Wreath DIY
Each year, I make our Christmas wreath from our Christmas tree’s trimmings. It’s quite a jolly little way to get in the holiday spirit while listening to Christmas albums, and cooking up some Abuelita’s hot chocolate with a stick of cinnamon over the stove. All you need is some greenery and a few extras. Some garden rosemary would also make a beautiful wreath!
Tools
- Wire cutter
- 14” wreath base
- Green floral wire
- Pine branches cut into 3-piece stems
- Swag: pine cones, red ribbon, berry branches, or ornaments.
Instructions
- Cut your pine branches into 3-piece stems and separate into piles by size.
- Make a bunch by layering three to four stems on top of each other, with the biggest stem as the base.
- Layer in some swag if you like and top with a smaller stem.
- Place bunch on the wreath base and wrap bunch on with wire.
- Weave in any finishing touches.
- Continue adding greenery bunches until the wire is covered
- Finish by layering a shorter bunch below the top of the first bunch of greenery.
Happy holidays!
