Getting Ready for Baby: Pregnancy Week 34
With everything going on in the world I am counting my blessings everyday. I am trying to stay as relaxed as possible and focusing on my new little arrival which will be here anytime now!
I am praying for all the mamas-to-be during this delicate time when our excitement and anxiety are already heightened.
I am preparing for my new arrival by practicing Hypnobirthing techniques to manifest a healthy birth.
In layman’s terms, Hypnobirthing is the practice of consciously relaxing you body and mind to maximize your baby’s oxygen supply and minimize the trauma to your body during labor. By contrast, panic reduces your baby’s oxygen supply, increases tension, and exacerbates your pain.
Now more than ever it is important to focus on positive thoughts and visualize a healthy birth and baby.
Sheltering in place has encouraged us to take a minimalist approach to preparing for baby. We cancelled our baby shower, and instead family dropped off gifts for baby at our garden which is so sweet. We had a virtual baby shower where we opened gifts and connected with family over video chat.
I hope for the best and give thanks for the health of of my loved ones.
Getting ready for our new baby has been the bright star in all this, it gives us something to look forward to. He has been so present moving around all day and night inside of me and we can’t wait to meet him!
I am grateful for our garden where I lay out in the sun to feel normal while cooped up. I ordered our baby the Fisher Price Baby Dome to enjoy the outdoors.
