Right now it is the end of summer and the fruits of our labor are paying off big time! We are enjoying, prepping, this year’s harvest while contemplating which seeds to start this fall for next summer’s harvest. Oh the life of a gardener...

I have so many favorites to share with you today. These items are so practical, I literally use them every day. I love things that are functional and beautiful.

2. Ball Canning Cook Book

I don’t know how I would survive summer without my Ball book. These recipes are tried and tested so I know they are safe and feel confident canning for my family. Ball’s recipes are also very easy to follow. 

3. Ball Preserving Starter Kit - Everything you need Make your first batch of fruit jam.

4. Earthwise, Reusable Mesh Produce Bags - Protect your fruit from pesky fruit flies while minimizing use of plastic at the grocery store! These bags are also great for drying herbs and tea-flowers in the sun. 

5.  Systema Strawberry Basket - Great for storing home grown strawberries! 

6. Food Mill, Cuisinart - For making tomato sauce, apple sauce, jellies and mashed potatoes.

7. Ball Storage Lids for Regular Mouth Jars and Wide Mouth Jars - more convenient to use than the canning lids for storage of dry goods in pantry.
